Our story

In 1983, Mr. Andrew Thomas founded Thomas Bakery in his backyard on the beautiful island of St. Croix after relocating from his home town of Trinidad. From Bread Box, Gary’s Deli, to Thomas Bakery Castle Coakley, the baked goods became a hit and the family business grew into multiple locations on the island. Thomas Bakery Atlanta (the fourth location) was opened in 2004.

When you taste our breads and pastries you quickly realize we don’t cheat the process. Everything is made in-house with love and attention. The experience we’ve curated from day one, whether you grabbed a hot bush tea and bread to start your mornings, or grabbed some tarts as a sweet treat, all revolves around community and serving with a smile.
